La Batalla Golf Society will be playing on 17th June at 12pm
Anyone interested in joining the society (membership is free )
the cost of the day is only 45€ which includes game of golf, buggy, meal and a pint!!!

As most know Dave Maskins "bless him", runs the golf society every monday at HR, but as you may not know I am the official worst player on hr, and "her of the indoors is most embarrased" so, if there is a "worser" player out there, man or lady, I would very much like to meet you, im therefore throwing down the gauntlet to my fellow 28 handicappers for my title on monday 30th august,Dave has already sanctioned the "challenge", there will be a presentation and a prize, it will be done under stableford rules, so dont worry about NRs,(no return scores on a hole, just get over that one!) as there will be plenty of them, im sure, please no "ringers" this is serious stuff,   sam x |

I can vouch for Sam's ability, but he is one of the most pleasant people you could wish to play golf with

| martin ,cheers mate, im glad some of us can just go out in good company, and enjoy it, I believe whether a good or bad player, the point is to come away from a round on the course,then have a debrief in the 19th, with new found friends, and be able to say " im glad ive played today ", sam x |

| I'm out from 3 to 19 August and will want to have at least one round with the golf society. If I was there for the above mentioned game I know I would be challenging Sam! But, as the good man says, in his post above, I enjoy it so I keep doing it!! :-) Alan |

| Sam...i'll have a few cold beers at the 17th hole by on the 30th august on ice for you mate..my golfing ablity is terrible but my sportsmanship is great.....always happy to share a beer...will email you a few photos of the semis in sucina...they are fab..cheers..steven |

| cheers lads, just making sure folks know my mate MartinRS2K is not the martin338, of the "gettysburg address" posts after the AGMs, easy to confuse I think ?, nothing against the gettysburg martin ,ive not met him, but he is over my my working class head intellectually, sam x |
