| My gas bill usually goes out by direct debit i have noticed however on my statement that nothing has been took out since april.Has anyone else had this problem and do you know the number or email address of the person i need to contact.I do not want to be disconnected because of non payment. |

| I have the same problem,last payment taken out in April,and no payments since that.My key holder Andy is checking that i still have gas.I have been calling the gas company the last 2 days ,and am still waiting for a english speaking representive to phone me back.Hope this helps.HC Energia 902860860 |

| Thanks we are over this friday till sunday so i will check my gas is on.My daughter was in the apartment last week and she said someone knocked at the door but they only spoke spanish but she did hear the word gas mentioned,dont know who they were. |

We also noticed that we have not received our gas bill that ought to have been for the 2 months starting on 16 June. We dropped an e mail to HC Energia on their English web page on 14 July and they replied the same day with the following info :-
'In answer to your request we like to inform you that a general delay about gas contracts in Murcia has been detected. This issue was reported to the department and they are working to solve it soon. '
We've still not yet had our latest gas bill but at least we've flagged it up to the suppler. Our gas supply is still on. |

| I contacted them via their website address off the last bill in April. It is www.hcenergia.com You can have the pages in Spanish or English and they have the normal 'Contact Us' facility you can use. It does ask you you use your contract number ( taken from your last bill) to help identify you. I contacted them this way and their reply, albeit a holding reply, came back the same day. |

Thanks Stan, just returned from a weekend at our apartment our gas is still on,so will just keep checking bank account.

I checked my statement and i appear to have the same issue. No gas direct debits have gone out since April. I'll give them a call too. Thanks for the info |

One problem we found was that if the utility company try to get money from your account and fail (insufficient funds etc) instead of trying again they cancel the direct debit their end and write a letter to your Spanish address. The water company did this to us and as we were in England we did not notice. Strangely enough we got to Spain just in time to see a man come to the front of villa and without us understanding what he was doing cut our water off. For the sake of 32 Euros we were cut off and it cost an extra 90 Euros for said moped man to come later that day and reconnect us. I wouldn't mind but we we're happy to see him (thought he was reading the meter) and said Hola! When he came back I wanted to let his tyres down  |

| I don't know how accurate this information is, but I heard that hcenergia have got into a "bit of a muddle" with their bills and are trying to sort their accounting system out........ consequently, no bills have been sent out for June & no direct debits have been taken..... I think the fault seems to be theirs & so we shouldn't be cut off - although that doesn't always apply out here!!! |

I had a letter from Hcenergy Gas regarding this & apparently they are behind with the billing for the whole murcia region, they said they are trying to catch up, so i guess when we eventually get billed it will be a big one
